Yep. Or at least, that's what Radar magazine says. They "inducted" His Holiness into their "Hype Report," (also known as the "Overrated 100"), a "scientific survey of the world's most overrated people, places, & things."
Yaknow, I generally love Radar -- there's a sort of SPY magazine flair to it that is generally missing from the newsstands. I even subscribe.
But really, choosing the Dalai Lama as the 25th most overrated person, place, or thing seems to be little more than a stunt.
...I know, I know: that's the point. Right.
But still. It seems just... dumb. Which SPY (may it rest in peace), for all its snarkiness, never was.
